Trivia: Chip came to us with chronic bladder stones. Just 3 weeks after his arrival, he had to go to Davis for emergency surgery. They thought he was not going to make it. We did a massive internet research project, found some great supplements, and today Chip is well.

Willow Pond rescues horses that have been abused, neglected, or are otherwise unwanted.  Once staff and volunteers have physically, mentally, and emotionally rehabilitated them, our horses either join the “herd”, working in our youth development, equine-assisted psychotherapy, and riding school programs, or we find them loving new placementt. Currently non of our horses are up for adoption  As with most nonprofit horse rescues, though, the number of wonderful animals we are able to rescue depends so much on our budget.  Your support, in the form of a donation or sponsorship, means we can continue to expand the services we provide for these horses.
